It’s been a while since we last mentioned some of our recent projects, so here are four projects that we’ve been working on during the past few months:
Redesign & rebuild for Justice Upheld in WordPress
Table of Contents
In this post we will explore the following topics:
Following on from our successful project with Acorns Children’s Hospice in September last year it’s a delight to be working with another very worthwhile cause, Justice Upheld.
Justice Upheld are an international charity helping people to obtain human rights and receive justice around the world. They initially came to Opace expressing concerns around their existing Joomla based website being too cumbersome to use, especially when compared to other WordPress based websites that they had experience of using. Opace were commissioned to redesign and rebuild the website in WordPress utilising the powerful Divi framework which had proven to be very successful on the Acorns project.
The project is currently in progress but is expected to complete within the next two weeks, establishing Justice Upheld with a modern, fresh and easy-to-use new website and professional branding on social media.
Joomla rebuild & content creation for Accounts Payable Association (Formerly AP Forum)
The Accounts Payable Association (APA) is an exciting new member organisation in the financial services sector representing Accounts Payable and Purchase Ledger professionals. From January 2016, Opace have been working with APA in the redevelopment of their Joomla website.
The project is to provide an entirely new “look and feel” as well extra content and functionality for members and non-members. Opace have worked with the APA to develop the website architecture and are writing core content for the entire website, producing over 23K words in total, some of which will be available to the general public but mostly intended to provide specialist support and material to members.
The project is currently under way but nearing completion, so keep checking www.ap-association.co.uk for updates.
Rebrand & rebuild for Spiral Stairs Direct in Magento
Spiral Stairs Direct (SSD) is one of our longest-standing customers. SSD are a UK leading supplier of spiral staircases and loft stairs. Since 2011 we’ve been providing SEO and content marketing services to SSD but last year they approached Opace to rebrand and relaunch their website using Magento.
SSD felt that their current JShop store was looking a bit tired and lacking the features, capabilities and SEO potential that a modern eCommerce platform could provide. After consultation, our recommendation was to migrate to Magento, a platform which is largely considered to be the best eCommerce system available. Opace are providing a total brand refresh for SSD, including their new Magento website and social media channels.
The new website offers a wide variety of new features to customers, including:
- Responsive / mobile-friendly design
- One page checkout
- Social login
- Social media integration
- WordPress blog integration
- Dependant product options
- YouTube product tutorials
- Mega menu
- Ajax navigation and cart
- And much more
The new website is intended to go live soon, so watch this space.
SEO & content marketing for Intelligent Data Group
Since June 2015 Opace have been working with the Intelligent Data Group (IDG) based in Glasgow on their SEO and content marketing strategy. IDG are specialists in the supply of high-quality B2B data and email campaign management. Having agreed an initial plan, Opace have been delivering an integrated strategy for digital marketing/SEO on monthly basis, to include: keyword and competitor analysis, on-site technical SEO, blog creation, blog/news outreach and PR. In addition Opace have developed a series of infographics related to IDG’s areas of business expertise.
To address historical issues, Opace worked with IDG to first of all identify duplicated content and then arrange to replace this with fresh, unique content. Search engines such as Google love content and the creation of fresh regular content and removal of duplicated content has played a key part of the strategy for IDG, and one that we have seen pay off for them over recent months.
